Makaela Gibson has sat under mentorship of million-copy-best selling author Shannon Ethridge. Makaela has a passion to see people of all walks of life flourish in the truth and freedom of Christ. Having discovered God as truth through her own circumstances, she has learned that to truly live in freedom, one must be willing to sit in the fire of one's past and present, working through every area that presents itself.

Makaela’s passions include: embracing our ultimate calling through intimacy with Christ, learning to face truth and thrive while living, and helping others walk out of darkness. She has spoken to youth, college students, mom's and women’s groups since 2006.

It was in 2010 that Makaela recognized God asking her to pursue truth in her own life. This pursuit led her to identify her false perception of God and the skewed relationship that came as a result. As God revealed Himself, He also exposed darkness. A darkness she never saw coming. Journey with Makaela through the recovery of betrayal, adultry, abandonment, church abuse, and marital abuse, divorce, and healing.


Makaela's understanding of God’s goodness and protection, along with grace and mercy, has led many to freedom, namely herself. The message she shares of self-worth wrapped in the worth of God, forgiveness and redemption is the message she has lived through. Makaela knows that our past does not define us, only the God of our past and the God of our future. Makaela embraces an Isaiah 54 ministry teaching the process of God rebuilding lives for His kingdom.

Makaela is currently living in the beautiful town of Forest, VA with her daughter, Lillie. Makaela has served in various roles at a local church, women's shelter, and has most recently branched out on her own from the corporate world to pursue ministry in setting captives free. As an advocate for the broken, Makaela also served for two years on the Board of Directors for The Network House, a transitional home for Women in Crisis.
